Abstract

A study is performed of liquid–liquid extraction equilibria in systems composed of samarium(III) nitrate, nitric acid, water, cyclohexane (toluene, n-heptane, n-dodecane), and di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) at 298.15 K. The compositions and densities of equilibrium aqueous and organic phases are determined. The coefficients of the distribution of samarium between aqueous and organic phases are calculated.
