Abstract

The coefficients of the Setchenov equation used to describe the salting out of proteins by electrolytes are presented analytically. The phase diagram and data on the solubility and salting out of lysozyme in solutions of NaCl were used to analyze the possibility of applying this equation to characterize protein interactions with electrolyte ions.
