Abstract

The solubility of the MgSO4–Na24–H2O ternary system was determined in the temperature range from –5.2 to 116.5°C by the visual polythermal method. Based on binary systems and internal incisions of the components of the system under study, its polythermal diagram is constructed. The crystallization fields of ice, Na24·10H2O, Na24, MgSO4·12H2O, MgSO4·7H2O, MgSO4·6H2O, MgSO4·H2O, 3Na24·MgSO4, Na24·MgSO4·2.5H2O and Na24·MgSO4·4H2O are delimited on the phase diagram of the MgSO4–Na24–H2O system. The results of the study show that the system under study belongs to the complex–eutonic type and there is an interaction between its components.
