Abstract
The character of interaction of components along the InSe-CaSe join has been investigated by the methods of physicochemical analysis (DTA, X-ray powder diffraction analysis, MSA, microhardness measurements, and determination of density). It has been established that the join is a quasi-binary section of the Ca-In-Se ternary system. A peritectic compound of the InSe2 composition is formed in the system. The solubility at room temperature on the basis of InSe reaches 4 mol % CaSe, and on the basis of CaSe it reaches ∼2 mol % InSe.
