Abstract

The interaction of the components in the potassium carbonate-potassium nitrate-tungsten(VI) oxide system was studied. The reaction of WO3 with a potassium carbonate-potassium nitrate mixture was found to occur at a higher rate than the reaction with pure potassium carbonate at the same temperature. A variant of the synthesis of high-purity potassium tungstate with a high yield of the target product was developed on the basis of the obtained data.
