Abstract
The species Sinochonetes wangi Rasheboeuf, 1987 is described from the Lower Devonian of the Severnaya Zemlya Archipelago. This is the first record of chonetoids within the Russian Arctic. An assumption on the biogeographical connections of the Severnaya Zemlya basin of the Arctic region in the early Devonian is made.
