Abstract

Purbimodus khramovi sp. nov. is described in the family Vitimotauliidae. Based on new material, the genus Purbimodus Sukatsheva et Jarzembowski, 2001 and the species P. parvulus Sukatsheva et Aristov, 2020 are redescribed from the Lower Cretaceous Khasurty locality (Republic of Buryatia, Russia). Keys to the genera of the Vitimotauliidae and to species of Purbimodus are emended. The Khasurty locality is dated as no younger than the Early Cretaceous.
