Abstract

Five bivalve species (Arcomytilus sanctaecrucis, Neithea valangiensis, Plagiostoma dubisiensis, Prohinnites renevieri, and Protocardia broili sp. nov.) are described from a new locality in Southwestern Crimea. These species, along with the gastropod Phaneroptyxis broili and the foraminifer Bramkampella arabica, indicate the Early Berriasian age of the carbonate deposits examined. The transition zone between the Upper Tithonian and the Lower Berriasian was identified in one of the sections.
