The Devonian bryozoan genus Salairella Mesentseva, 2015 was described by Mesentseva (2015) from the Salair Ridge and Rudny Altai, in Russia, designating Salairella baskuskanensis as its type species. Additionally, four more valid species were described: Smaculata Mesentseva, 2015; S. petaloida Mesentseva, 2015; S. recta Mesentseva, 2015; S. variabilis Mesentseva, 2015. This genus was included within the family Arthroclemidae Simpson, 1897.

However, the genus name Salairella is preoccupied and was initially introduced by Khalfina (1961) for the Devonian sponge species Salairella multicea Khalfina, 1961, as the type and only species, from the Salair, in Russia. Thus, the genus Salairella Mesentseva, 2015 is a junior homonym of the genus Salairella Khalfina, 1961. According to Article 60 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, a replacement name is needed, and I propose Devonavictorianom. nov., for Salairella Mesentseva, 2015.

Etymology.Devonavictoria is a combination of Devonian, after its occurrence in the Devonian, and Victoria, in honour of my fiancee Victoria Ojeda for her understanding towards my scientific work. The gender is feminine.

Accordingly, five new combinations are herein proposed for the fossil bryozoan species previously included in Salairella Mesentseva, 2015: Devonavictoria baskuskanensis (Mesentseva, 2015), D. maculata (Mesentseva, 2015), D. petaloida (Mesentseva, 2015), D. recta (Mesentseva, 2015), and D. variabilis (Mesentseva, 2015). The type species of the genus is Salairellabaskuskanensis (Mesentseva, 2015).
