Abstract

The paper describes a new fern species Lobifolia nana A. Frolov et Mashchuk from the Lower Jurassic deposits of the Irkutsk coal basin. The fern is characterized by small measurements of fronds and pinnae and by the absence of well-developed aphlebia-like basal pinnae. The material comes from an open-pit mine of the Mugun lignite deposit that exposes the Cheremkhovskaya Formation.
