Abstract

Based on the study of the ontogenetic changes of cardinalia and brachidium in the genera Beecheria Hall et Clarke, 1893 and Calycelasma Smirnova, 2007 (family Beecheriidae), a complex development of the brachidium, which corresponds to the angustothyridid type, and the formation of crural plates, which functioned as the outer hinge plates at the early developmental stages, are revealed.
