Abstract
Expressions for the calculation of the amplitude and indicatrix of light scattering by optically soft toroidal and tubular particles are obtained in the Rayleigh-Gans-Debye (RGD) approximation. Light scattering cross sections of toroidal particles in the RGD approximation and cross sections obtained by the method of discrete dipoles are numerically compared.
