Abstract

The optical characteristics of quartz glass are studied in the bulk and on the surface by the method of differential Fourier transform IR reflection spectroscopy. Tabular values of the optical constants that characterize the bulk properties of quartz glass in the range 3.5–2000 µm are obtained. Particular features of the dielectric function are estimated, which make it possible to describe the properties of the surface of polished quartz glass in the IR range.
