Dynamic control of light localization in photonic crystals

Abstract

Localization of light in a one-dimensional finite dielectric with a periodically modulated refractive index and two local periodicity perturbations is considered. It is shown that phase modulation of incident light can be used to localize it at different spatial points of the system considered.
