Abstract

Five novel metal-organic frameworks [Cd3(btdc)3(bpa)(dmf)2] (1), [Cd3(btdc)3(dabco)(dmf)2]·3DMF·H2O (2), [Cd2(btdc)2] (3), [Cd3(btdc)3(dmf)4]·5DMF (4), and [Cd(btdc)(dmf)2]·DMF (5) (H2btdc = 2,2′-bithiophene-5,5′-dicarboxylic acid; bpa = 1,2- bis(4-pyridyl)ethane; dabco = 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane; DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) are prepared in solvothermal conditions. The structures are determined by single-crystal XRD. Compound 1 is characterized by powder XRD, elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, and IR spectroscopy.
