A New Understanding of the Vapor–Liquid–Solid Mechanism of Nanowire Growth

  • Published:
Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

This paper presents modified views on the vapor–liquid–solid mechanism of nanowire growth, relying on new experimental data on the wettability of a crystal surface by metal catalyst droplets presaturated with the crystallizing substance.
