Solid-state synthesis and properties of Ni4 − x Zr x/2Nb2O9

  • Published:
Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

This paper reports the solid-state synthesis, characterization, and physicochemical properties of zirconium-containing Ni4Nb2O9-based nickel niobates with the general formula Ni4 − x Zr x/2Nb2O9 (x = 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2). The materials have been identified by X-ray diffraction. We have determined the particle size composition of powder samples and the linear thermal expansion coefficients of the materials, assessed their chemical stability in acid media, and measured their electrical conductivity as a function of temperature.
