Preceramic nanohafniumoligocarbosilanes

  • Published:
Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

We report the synthesis of fiber-forming nanohafniumoligocarbosilanes through reaction between oligocarbosilanes and hafnium alkylamides: Hf[N(CH3)2]4 and Hf[N(C2H5)2]4. The composition and properties of the nanohafniumoligocarbosilanes and their pyrolysis products have been studied by advanced physicochemical characterization techniques.
