Electrical properties of magnesium-intercalated InSe

  • Published:
Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

Indium monoselenide single crystals have been intercalated with magnesium from the vapor phase, and their electron concentration, electron Hall mobility, anisotropic electrical conductivity, and thermoelectric power have been measured as functions of temperature. The effects of vacuum annealing and Mg intercalation on the electrical properties of InSe are analyzed. Magnesium intercalation has the strongest effect on the conductivity anisotropy in the crystals.
