New possibilities of modern methods for determining gas-forming impurities in metals

  • Published:
Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

The main tendencies in the development of methods for determining gas-forming impurities in metals and alloys, and the physicochemical laws of the fractional separation of oxygen are considered. Examples of the analysis of model alloys and steels show that the method of fractional gas analysis can be used for the quantitative determination of oxygen bound in inclusions.
