Abstract
This article provides data on the parameters of carbon mass loss obtained within the framework of a complete thermochemical model of its destruction, and comparison of them with similar data for the case of consideration of carbon oxidation in the diffusion approximation. The findings are compared with the corresponding published data. A variant of the numerical method is presented, application of which allows for more effectively solving the problems of flow of a multicomponent high-temperature gas mixture at the thermochemical equilibrium condition.
