Abstract

A facile in-situ chemical reduction and self-assembly method was developed to prepare graphene fibers with silver nanoparticles (GFs@Ag). Inside the prepared composite fibers, Ag nanoparticles with sizes of about 50 nm homogeneously dispersed on the graphene sheets through scanning electron microscope (SEM) characterization. The obtained GFs@Ag exhibited excellent tensile mechanical performance with high mechanical strength, which was up to 83.7 MPa.
