Abstract

The mass qualitative analysis of the contours of the 6374 are asymmetric. The fractions of the asymmetric contours with more intense blue and red wings are 52 and 28%, respectively. In order to reveal the nature of the enhancement of the contour wings, the histograms of the ray velocity distributions in each 10°-latitude range have been considered using the same data (about 5500 contours reduced to the NE quadrant). These distributions also exhibit blue asymmetry, which is apparently caused by the shortage of motions on the surface of the Sun compared to rotation. This is in agreement with the results obtained in [Labonte and Howard, 1982; Makarov and Tlatov, 1995]. The nature of the blue wings of the Fe X 6374 ar way.
