Abstract

An annotated checklist of aquatic and semiaquatic true bugs (Heteroptera: Nepomorpha, Gerromorpha) of Stavropol Territory is provided, summarizing the species records in the region. The checklist includes 33 species from 17 genera and 10 families. According to the results of collections in the summer of 2022, four species are recorded for the region for the first time: Micronecta pusilla (Horváth, 1895), Sigara iactans Jansson, 1983, Hydrometra stagnorum (Linnaeus, 1758), and Microvelia reticulata (Burmeister, 1835). New localities in the region are given for 10 species. The distribution of each species in the North Caucasus is updated.
