Abstract
A new species of the genus Cymindis Latreille, 1805, C. (Paracymindis) parthiana sp. n., is described from the southern part of Turkmenistan and northeastern Iran (Razavi Khorasan and North Khorasan provinces), type locality – Mt. Shakh-Shakh in the Central Kopetdag (Turkmenistan). The new species is most closely related to C. (Paracymindis) simplex Zoubkoff, 1833 but differs in having body more convex, elytra distinctly impressed along suture, pronotum not explanate laterally, elytral intervals more coarsely punctate, punctures arranged mostly in a single irregular row, and elytral microsculpture well-engraved, as well as in the structure of male genitalia.
