Abstract

A technique of preparation and storage of the genital apparatus of horseflies is developed. It is proposed to use 70% alcohol along with potassium hydroxide to soften the muscles and ligaments of the genital structures, and to mount the preparations in Cytoseal™ 60 (USA) instead of Canada balsam.
