The First Detection of Resistance to Phosphine in a Natural Population of the Rice Weevil Sitophilus oryzae (L.) (Coleoptera, Dryophthoridae) in Russia


Dependence of mortality of rice weevils Sitophilus oryzae from the natural (synanthropic) and laboratory populations on phosphine concentration was experimentally studied and mathematically described. The index of resistance to phosphine in beetles of the natural population was 2.5.
