A new subgenus of the longicorn genus Phytoecia Dejean, 1835 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) from the Palaearctic region

Abstract

Paracoptosia subgen. n., with type species Saperda compacta Ménétriés, 1832, is established as a subgenus of Phytoecia for Coptosia sensu auct. nec Fairmaire, 1865. Coptosia Fairmaire, 1865, syn. n., is a junior objective synonym of Oxylia Mulsant, 1863.
