Distribution of the lime leafminer Phyllonorycter issikii (Lepidoptera, Gracillariidae) in natural stands

Abstract

The spatial distribution of the lime leafminer Phyllonorycter issikii was studied in natural stands. The number of mines increased with shading of host-plant leaves. The maximum density of the miner was found in closed lime and spruce forests. The number of mines increased vertically from the tree top to its butt and horizontally, from the apex of branches to their base.
