Abstract

A new scheme of zoogeographic regionalization of Southwestern Tajikistan based on the data on the Orthoptera distribution is proposed. The main foci of species endemism are distinguished. The species diversity is higher in the plain (up to 800 m above see level) zoogeographic entities than in the mountain entities of comparable size.
