Abstract
A new species of the genus Orphnus MacLeay, 1819 is described from Kisantu (Democratic Republic of Congo). The new species is similar to O. striatopunctatus Felsche in having a long bifurcated clypeal horn in the male, but can be distinguished from it by the shape of the parameres and longitudinal ridges on the pronotum, relatively slender body, and more slender clypeal horn.
