Abstract
Nine species of the genus Chrysopilus are described in detail; among these, Ch. dives Loew, Ch. obscuribarbus Loew, Ch. pallipes Loew, Ch. praetiosus Loew, Ch. pullus Loew, Ch. siculus Loew, and Ch. unicolor Becker are presented by the types. One new species, Ch. subalpicola, is described. The structure of the male genitalia are illustrated for the first time, and the diagnostic characters given in the literature are refined.
