Abstract

This work concerns the mechanism of the action of gold polyacrylate (aurumacryl) on human blood lymphocytes. The effects of the medication on cell viability and DNA structure and the ability to induce reactive oxygen species are studied. It has been found that aurumacryl exhibits a dose- and exposure-dependent cytotoxic activity, causes single-stranded DNA breaks, and induces the generation of intracellular reactive oxygen species.
