Abstract
The paper presents data on the effect of different concentrations of insulin-like growth factor 1 on a state of human erythrocytes. Changes in the hemoglobin conformation, the erythrocyte NO-binding function, and microviscosity of the plasma membrane were observed under activation of the cell receptors to insulin-like growth factor 1. It was shown for the first time that, when the insulin-like growth factor 1 molecules bind to the cell surface, the hemoglobin conformation in erythrocytes and its affinity to ligands are changed.
