Abstract
Several approaches to the problems of design, performance characteristics analysis and application of receiving systems operating in terahertz and submillimetric wave bands are considered. Possible structures of such detectors are described. Some advantages of cold electron bolometers are identified. A series of measurements for detector characteristics are carried out; in addition, the equipment required for such experiments is discussed.
