Abstract
We suggest an adaptation method for PI/PID controller tuning based on transient characteristics of operating control systems. Transient characteristics are transformed to frequency characteristics involving no preliminary approximation by analytical expressions. Optimal tuning parameters are subsequently evaluated by well-known methods. For this, one may use computational programs downloaded from Internet.
