Abstract

The correction to the energy and the number of particles in excited oscillator states is found in the approximation of a pair interaction between the particles at close to zero temperature. It is shown that in the case of the traps used in experiments the gas starts to differ appreciably from an ideal gas when more than N=1000 particles are trapped.
