Abstract

The effect of multiple scattering on the decay of high-energy particles has been studied. The self-consistent method for the calculation of decay rates of particles undergoing multiple elastic collisions in an equilibrium medium has been developed. Influence of multiple scattering on the decay rate of a neutral pion in a hadron gas has been studied.
