Abstract
This papr discusses the results of the first investigation of the magnetic properties of the organic superconductor λ-(BETS)2GaCl4. It is shown that the transition to the superconducting state begins at T c≈7 K, which is considerably lower than the value T c≈10 K determined from resistive measurements. The estimated value of the critical current density turns out to be two orders of magnitude lower than in superconductors of the family κ-(ET)2 X.
