Abstract

A pulsed magnetic technique for generating mechanical pressure impulses is developed. Using this technique, polymethyl methacrylate and gabbrodiabase are tested in various loading schemes. It is shown that the experimental data are reasonable to analyze in terms of a structure-and-time approach.
