Abstract
It has been shown that, if the amplitude of uniform time-periodic variation in the density of a quasi-one-dimensional Bose gas exceeds a certain critical value, interactions between acoustic phonons lead to the formation of the condensate of correlated phonon pairs with energy equal to half the frequency of the gas-density oscillations.
