Effect of a SrF2 insulating film on the luminescent properties of n-InP

Abstract

It is shown that SrF2 can be used as an effective protective coating for indium phosphide films, since it decreases the surface recombination rate of the films due to lattice matching between SrF2 and InP. As a result, the external quantum yield of radiative recombination increases.
