Abstract
It is demonstrated that acoustic waves propagating in a moving liquid can be scattered on inhomogeneities of the velocity field of the medium, and a theory of such scattering is developed. The obtained estimates show the possibility of acoustic diagnostics of the velocity field inhomogeneities in moving media.
