Scattering of a low-energy electron in a strong Coulomb field

Abstract

The low-energy electron scattering cross section in a strong Coulomb field is analyzed theoretically. It is shown that the exact cross section in a wide energy range significantly differs from the results obtained in the first Born approximation and in the nonrelativistic approximation.
