Abstract
We have studied the dynamic regimes of an autonomous chaotic system (a modified oscillator with inertial nonlinearity) and found a chaotic attractor of a new type. The autocorrelation function, power spectrum, and Lyapunov exponents of this attractor have been calculated. Some of these characteristics resemble the behavior of a strange nonchaotic attractor.
