Abstract
The energy states of a nonlinear system of the electromagnetic field-dielectric waveguide type is considered. It is shown that this system possesses a manifold of “vacuum” states with a zero “internal” energy. The presence of such states is evidence that the system can feature field states in the form of three-dimensional solitary waves.
