Abstract
Photothermoelectric converters (PTECs) are proposed for the energy supply of low-power-consumption devices. The photoelectric units of PTECs employ high-efficiency solar cells based on the p-AlxGa1− x As-n-GaAs heterosystem. The thermoelectric units employ a ternary alloy of the n-BiTeSe-p-BiTeSb type. A new PTEC with a two-stage photoelectric unit, which offers a higher efficiency as compared to a device with a single-stage photocell, is developed.
