Determination of the target strength of a scatterer with the use of surface reverberation

Abstract

Results of measuring the target strength of a scatterer by using the data on the sound propagation and surface reverberation in the basin are presented. The proposed technique implies the use of a receiving antenna array with a narrow directivity pattern and a bistatic scheme of location.
