Abstract
The properties of parametric x-ray radiation generated in a crystal are investigated in detail on the basis of a numerical simulation, strong multiple scattering being taken into account in this investigation. The contributions of various generation mechanisms to the total intensity of this radiation are explored. The results of numerical calculations are compared with experimental data obtained by measuring the integrated intensity of parametric x-ray radiation as a function of charged-particle energy. It is shown that theoretical results are in good agreement with experimental data.
