Photoproduction as the limiting case of inelastic scattering

Abstract

On the basis of the vector-dominance model and Regge theory, formulas are derived that make it possible to obtain a unified description of the photoproduction cross section and the nucleon structure functions determining the cross section for inelastic lepton scattering at low Q 2.
